Degree requirements
During your studies, you will need to complete 80 days of professional experience placements to gain valuable practice in early childhood services and classrooms. These experiences provide you with opportunities to put theory into practice.
At least 50% of the supervised placements need to be attended in Australian early childhood and/or school settings and you must be able to meet the physical and other professional requirements of professional experience placements within this degree.

Entry requirements
You need to satisfy the following requirements to be considered for entry into this degree.

- English (Units 3 & 4, C) or equivalentÌýandÌý
- General Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C), or equivalent

- IETLS (Academic) - Minimum overall score of 7.5, with a minimum 7.0 in writing and reading, and a minimum of 8.0 in speaking and listening.

State law in Queensland (Australia) requires that all adults working/undertaking professional experience/researching with children under the age of 18, are required to hold a currentÌýBlue Card or Exemption CardÌýor hold a valid Working with Children Check.
Students in other Australian states or in overseas contexts need to ensure they have complied with the equivalent requirements and have registered the details with the 91²Ö¿â Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team.
National Child Safety Training
National child safety and child protection training is mandatory for all individuals working or volunteering (including students) in an early childhood education and care (ECEC) service regulated under the National Quality Framework (NQF).
In Queensland, completion of the Child Safety Foundation training module satisfies the child safety and child protection training requirements. This training must be completed before attending placement.
Students in other Australian states or overseas must ensure they have complied with the equivalent requirements and registered the details with 91²Ö¿â Work Integrated Learning (WIL).
